Purdy's Furniture is a long-established family business offering a large variety of household items - from antiques to modern pieces - to clients in the Montmorency/Greensborough areas and beyond.
So successful has it been, it has recently expanded, doubling its display and workshops to 4000 sq. ft. and now includes property from 25-31 Sherbourne Rd., Briar Hill.
For the past 22 years, Purdy's has offered for sale quality antique furniture, mainly from the Edwardian and Victorian eras, as well as fine examples from other periods.
Purdy's also offers customers a special service by making a wide range of Australian made furniture from new and recycled timbers including dining suites, bedroom suites, chests, wall units and meat safes. Furniture such as entertainment units, bookcases and display cabinets can be tailor-made to your measurements and stained to match other pieces.
Owners Peter and Jan Teagle, and youngest son Jeremy, are there to see a customer's requirements are catered for and to offer professional advice and assistance.
They invite you to inspect their new line that is rapidly taking the public's fancy - French provincial style furniture, made by one of their sons Scott, with its distressed paint finish designed to give it an `older' look so that it blends with existing pieces.
For your convenience Purdy's is open seven days a week 9.30am to 5.30pm weekdays, 9.30am to 5pm Saturdays and 11am-4pm Sundays. Contact Peter, Jan or Jeremy on 9434 2530, via facsimile 9434 1175 or at email@example.com
